I am the Project Manager for GROW/Warren Community Gardens with Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership. I promote/manage community gardens, local goods, etc. in Warren, OH (home if the Buckeye chickens!) Currently our city does not allow chickens, but I hope to start a campaign to change that. Thanks for posting this article!

How exciting!!! I can't wait to live in a house where I can have chickens! I would love to be involved in preserving a breed of chicken like the Buckeye Red. In a rather unrelated mention.....have you ever had the sweet treat called "Buckeyes" (or peanut butter balls)? Sooo good! My grandmother used to make them for the family every year! great holiday memory!
