HOMEGROWN food options
As we all know, food at concerts and festivals can be less than, ahem, quality sustenance. OK, we all need our greasy fix every now and again, but there are several fantastic options for HOMEGROWN, organic, local, family farm food here at Bonnaroo, too. Nothing beats our Rock The Grill: A Good Food Cookout (now officially tagged Unplugged), which will be reported in full once I catch some zzzz’s. In the mean time, here are a few of the vendors I’ve tried:
The Planet Roo Cafe uses organic produce, grass-fed local beef, free range chicken, natural, locally raised pork – everything HOMEGROWN, and delicious. I had the bacon & swiss burger: All natural grass-fed Western North Carolina burger topped with organic bacon, all natural Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and a roasted red pepper aioli and served with organic French fries with organic ketchup – YUM!
And then there’s our favorite corn dog ladies Amanda and Karen + their crew!
