An ode to ovo

We were wondering what ever became of the Missoula, MT urban chicken controversy we told you about last fall, so we checked in. Looks like victory and smells delicious! **another update brings two of the best quotes: “Most of us just aren’t that familiar with where our food really comes from,” and “It actually helped us get to know our neighbors better,” she says. “Families stopped to show the chickens to their kids. People knew who we were because we were the people with the chickens.”

In honor of fresh eggs everywhere, a few recipes:

Baked Blueberry-Pecan French Toast with Blueberry Syrup from Epicurious. (I made this on Sunday for good friends and the band that slept on our floor – rave reviews!)

Brunch Braised Eggs from JustBraise.com YUM!

Happy Hollandaise (and Eggs Benedict) from AverageBetty (she’s a character)

Special Deviled Eggs from AllRecipes.com
